This Privacy Policy applies to all Discord bots and related services developed and operated by lsdresearch ("lsdresearch," "we," "us," or "our"), a bot development studio established in the United States.

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how lsdresearch collects, uses, stores, and protects information when users interact with any lsdresearch Discord bot ("Bot").

By inviting, accessing, or using a Bot, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

To provide functionality, moderation, and security, our Bots may collect and store Discord-provided identifiers and operational data, including but not limited to:

Discord User IDs
Discord Server (Guild) IDs
Discord Channel IDs
Discord Message IDs (where required for moderation or features)
Moderation and enforcement records (e.g., bans, mutes, warnings)
Timestamps and status flags related to enforcement actions

We may temporarily process Discord usernames or display names for user-facing actions, but usernames are not relied upon as permanent identifiers and may not be stored long-term.

We do not intentionally collect: real names, email addresses, phone numbers, passwords, payment information, or precise location data.

3. Purpose of Processing

Information is processed solely to:

Provide and maintain Bot functionality
Enforce server rules and moderation actions
Prevent abuse, misuse, and ban evasion
Maintain service integrity and security
Store configuration and operational state

We do not use collected data for advertising, marketing, or tracking outside of Discord.

4. Moderation & Enforcement Records

lsdresearch Bots may store moderation and enforcement records, such as bans or restrictions, which may include Discord User IDs, Discord Moderator IDs, enforcement status and timestamps, and duration or expiration data.

These records are retained to ensure consistent enforcement, prevent repeat abuse, and protect servers using our Bots. Moderation records are considered operational security data, not user profile data.

5. Data Storage & Security

Data is stored using MongoDB and protected through reasonable technical and organizational measures, including TLS encryption for data in transit, encryption at rest (such as AES-256, where supported by the hosting provider), and restricted access controls and credential isolation.

While no system is completely secure, we take reasonable steps to safeguard stored information.

6. Data Retention

Data is retained only for as long as necessary to provide Bot functionality, enforce moderation actions, and maintain service integrity.

Configuration and operational data may be removed when a Bot is removed from a server
Moderation records may be retained beyond the duration of an enforcement action where necessary to prevent abuse or ban evasion

Retention periods may vary depending on the nature of the data and the purpose for which it is processed.

7. Data Deletion Requests

Users may request deletion of personal Discord-related data associated with their account.

Upon a verified deletion request:

Optional or contextual data (such as stored usernames or non-essential metadata) will be removed where feasible
Moderation and enforcement records may be retained in a minimized form, containing only the identifiers and timestamps necessary to enforce rules, prevent abuse or ban evasion, maintain system integrity, or comply with legal obligations

Retained data is limited to the minimum necessary and is not used for profiling, marketing, or tracking.

8. Third-Party Services

Our Bots may interact with third-party APIs or services. Third-party services operate under their own privacy policies, and lsdresearch is not responsible for their data practices.

9. Children's Privacy

Our services are intended only for users who are legally permitted to use Discord under Discord's Terms of Service. We do not knowingly collect data from children below Discord's minimum age requirement.

10. International Users & Applicable Laws

lsdresearch is established in the United States.

Where required by applicable data protection laws, including the GDPR for users located in the European Economic Area, we provide appropriate rights such as access to or deletion of personal data, subject to lawful limitations related to security and abuse prevention.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of any lsdresearch Bot after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
